What Kazi Suite is
Kazi Suite is a set of private, personal tools built and run by one person, Kazi Paruaz Prince, on his own server, for his own use. There are no other users, no accounts for the public, no advertising, and no analytics.
What data Kazi Suite accesses
Kazi Suite connects only to the owner's own Google account, with the owner's permission. It accesses:
- Account basics: the owner's name and email address from Google sign in, used to identify his own account.
- Gmail: the content of the owner's own email messages (senders, recipients, subject lines, message bodies, and attachments) that he reads, searches, and sends through the suite's mail tool.
- Google Calendar: the owner's own calendar events, including titles, times, locations, descriptions, and attendee details stored in those events.
- Google Contacts: the owner's own contacts, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers, shown in the suite's contacts tool. When the owner edits a contact inside the app and two way sync is enabled, that edit is written back to the owner's own Google account.
Kazi Suite accesses Google data for nothing else.
Why the data is used
Google account data is used only to provide the mail, calendar, and contacts features of Kazi Suite at the owner's direction: reading and sending his email, showing and managing his calendar events, and showing his contacts in his own apps. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to running the owner's own tools.
Google API Limited Use
Kazi Suite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data received from Google APIs is not transferred to any other app or service, is not used to serve advertisements, and is not read by any person other than the owner in connection with his own account.
Where data lives and how it is stored
Google data is stored only on the owner's private server, in the suite's own databases and in its encrypted backups. Every Kazi Suite app sits behind the owner's personal sign in, and stored data can only be reached through those apps by the owner. Data is not stored with advertising or analytics services.
Sharing
Data accessed through Google is never sold and never shared with third parties. It is not used for advertising. The only transfers are back to the owner's own Google account at his direction, for example sending an email through Gmail, saving a calendar event, or writing back a contacts edit.
Retention, disconnecting, and deletion
The owner can disconnect Google at any time from the suite's settings, which removes the stored access token and stops further access. Local copies of data can be deleted from the apps. Backup copies age out on the normal backup rotation. The owner may also request deletion of stored data by emailing the contact address below, and it will be removed from the server, with backup copies aging out on the normal rotation.
Security
Kazi Suite runs on a private server controlled by the owner. Access to the apps and to stored data is restricted by the owner's personal sign in. Backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but access is limited to the owner, and the data is kept in as few places as possible: the owner's server and its backups.
